It's hard to write cover letters and resumes. So why not use AI?
The difficulty is getting the AI to understand your skills and match them to the position's required skills. This is what makes manual job applications so tedious and painful - it's hard to figure out which skills you should highlight, which components of your work history to include or remove for each job.
I'm building a tool in Coda that solves this by decoding a job posting, extracting its required skills, and matching those skills to your job stories. If you don't have a matching job story, the AI generates a list of possible stories that the position might experience. You review the list, find one that corresponds with something you know you've done in the past, and claim the story for your own (and edit it to reflect your actual work!)
